Delete your data
You can ask DealCentral to delete your account and the data that belongs to it at any time. There are two ways.
1. If you signed in with Facebook: remove the app (automatic)
- In Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Go to Apps and websites (under "Your activity" / "Permissions").
- Find DealCentral and choose Remove.
- When Facebook asks, choose to delete the information the app received, and confirm.
Facebook tells us straight away and we delete your DealCentral account and its data automatically. Facebook then shows you a confirmation code; you can check it below at any time.
2. Any account: ask us
Send us a message through our contact page or email noreply@dealcentral.ng with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address on your account. We confirm it's you, delete the account and its data, and reply when it's done, normally within 7 days and never later than 30.
What we delete
Your account and profile, listings with their photos and videos, messages, saved cars, reviews you wrote and received, forum posts, finance and delivery requests, sign-in history and devices, ID documents and photos, and your activity history.
What we must keep: records of escrow payments (money held for a car sale), which the law requires. If you have any, your account is anonymised instead ("Deleted account"): no name, email, phone or way to sign in remains, only the payment record.
